Three Coat Lime Traditional Renders
Our skilled craftsmen specialise in traditional lime plastering and restoration, applying multi-coat lime render systems with precision. On solid walls, the render is built in three coats:
Scratch/key coat – grips the substrate
Body coat – levels the wall and builds thickness
Finishing coat – smoothed or textured to suit the period style
Traditional Lath & Plaster Systems
For lath & plaster, we use timber laths fixed to the building’s timber framework, interwoven where needed, and applied with lime-based plaster in layers. Each layer sets naturally, producing a durable, breathable finish that moves with the building and reduces cracking.
This method preserves the character of period and listed buildings, combining authentic materials with modern craftsmanship to ensure a long-lasting, high-quality finish.
