Lime External Wall Insulation (EWI) System.
Our Lime EWI system combines traditional lime plastering with breathable external wall insulation to improve thermal performance while protecting the building fabric. We use vapour-permeable insulation boards such as wood fibre or hemp-lime, which allow walls to breathe naturally, preventing trapped moisture and decay.
Over the insulation, we apply a lime-based render system, built in layers to provide a durable, weather-resistant finish that is fully compatible with historic masonry. The lime render preserves the character and appearance of the building, accommodates natural movement, and ensures long-term breathability and durability.
